Workshop: Demographic Change Processes

Demographic change is one of the central topics of the political discourse in Western societies, especially in Germany with its overaged population. How can this change process be managed? Can German society cope with more and more older people? What does a declining workforce mean for the countries competitiveness in a globalised economy?
The German Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb.de[1]) is holding a seminar on these and further questions. The most likely scenarios and their impact on central policy areas will be highlighted and discussed.
