Seminar: Change in Society and individual Crises
(English) The 35th German Psychotherapyseminar will be held in Aachen from March the 5th to 7th, on the issue of “Social Change – individual Crises.”
One of the leading issues of the last two years has been the global financial crisis. Major economic transformation processes are more often than not accompanied by a rising in social inequalities and these can lead to crises for the individual. The 35th German Psychotherapyseminar at the Technical University Aachen deals with the questions arising from economic crises, and their psychological and physical consequences for society and the individual.
The main theme of the seminar will be addressed in four lectures by distinguished scholars from the fields of economy (Prof. Dr. Michael Hüther), philosophy (Prof. Dr. Dieter Sturma), and psychiatry (Prof. Dr. Peter Falkai, Prof. Dr. Dr. Helmut Remschmidt).
The fringe event offers a variety of workshops, which will deal with risk- and protection mechanism that threaten or respectively support individuals in times of change.
