Valencia is the venue for this key event of the Spanish EU presidency organised by the Spanish government and the European Commission. The conference is part of the “European Economic Recovery Plan” public-private partnership, which aims to give incentives to new and traditional industries in order to foster growth, the creation of new jobs and to maintain the quality of living in the EU. The conference also contributes to the “Seventh EU Framework Programme”, which is the main instrument to support research and development funding in the Union.
The event strives to provide an open environment for fruitful discussions between leaders from different industries, researchers and EU officials. Paving the way for future European R&D programmes as well as actions for adding value to existing industrial sectors of the member states.

April 13th will be devoted to “Energy Efficient Building” and “Factories of the Future” while April 14th deals with questions regarding “Green Cars” and the “Future Internet.”
