While there are many books on the topic of change management, one will hardly find an audio book dealing with questions concerning change. That is up until now, because the Bertelsmann Foundation has teamed up with well known consultant Klaus Doppler and created the audio book “Management in stürmischen Zeiten – Unternehmenskultur – Change Management – Führung.”
There is a long list of companies, which failed because they could not adapt to a changing business environment. They stuck too long to antique corporate practices, images or products, and bad management decisions sealed their fate. This audio book discusses questions like: Why changing corporate culture is a dreadfully slow process? Which obstacles stand in front of a business transformation? What skill set does a successful change manager need? By answering these questions the book illustrates how made-to-measure change solutions and modern management can help businesses survive in troubled times.
The audio book merges ideas and concepts, which have been developed since 2006 in the annually held Business Summer School of Bertelsmann. It is an (although quite brief) alternative to general books on change management and certainly worth to put it on your MP3 player.
